Well with the option to use AdEngage and only pay 0.08c for a click in the united states for english speaking users, I thought it would be great. AdEngage from a publishers side seemed good, so I thought I’d give their advertising platform a go.

So I decided to drop them a $50 order for 625 US clicks to my cruise campaign with never blue ads. So far, 212 clicks delivered, 3 leads. My idea was a flop. So far they’ve delivered a load of click fraud, with some IPs pressing upto 150 times! Most have 1-8 clicks though. I contacted them, and they said the following:

we do not count duplicate IP’s/clicks for out CPC ads. We do not count double clicks, clicks made by “bots” or other fraudulent clicks. Nor do we count any clicks that are made from a country outside the targeted region

Well they are right, but I have a feeling some have slipped past the system. But either way, it’s not converting for some reason. Prosper202 shows around 400 clicks, whereas AdEngage shows half that. So they are keeping to their promises. But I don’t see my self making my money back from it which is not good.

I will probably try a few more networks before giving up on 2nd and 3rd tier networks. I still have the Ask and Looksmart platforms to try, so stay tuned! I will be posting up my results on that here too. It should be interesting to see how each network compares. I will probably run the same offer on each one to see which network gives better conversions for the same offer.

I’m trying AdEngage right now but not getting more than $0.01 – $0.03 per click. Very bad. As a matter of fact, sometimes it looks like the payment per click is less than $0.01. One day I had 3 clicks and make $0.02. Very low payouts :(

When I was a publisher with them, the highest I got on average for a day was 4c a click. It’s not much, but when you combine it with the flexibility they provide, you can easily crank up the CTR.
